Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Customer Representative to join our team at blithequark. As a Strategic Customer Representative, you will play a critical role in increasing market share with contractors and end-users in the preconstruction Data Center space. You will develop and strengthen customer relationships, increase product awareness, and present our solution-based capabilities to drive sales growth. Key Responsibilities Coordinate sales calls with local, regional, and/or national sellers on customers that perform data center construction, ensuring a seamless and effective sales process Develop, maintain, and strengthen internal relationships with the local Outside Sales Reps and Branch Managers, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the data center space as well as end-user companies, including engineers and decision makers, to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction Create and deliver compelling presentations to showcase products and services relevant to data center construction, highlighting the value and benefits of our solutions Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and client needs within the data center sector, using this knowledge to tailor sales strategies and drive business growth Identify and pursue new sales opportunities by networking, attending industry events, and leveraging existing contacts, to expand our customer base and increase revenue Prepare customized proposals and pricing models based on customer requirements, ensuring alignment with company standards and maximizing profitability Negotiate contracts and agreements with customers, aiming for mutually beneficial terms while ensuring profitability for blithequark Provide ongoing support to customers to address any issues, ensuring satisfaction and fostering long-term relationships Follow up with clients after the sale to gather feedback, assist with implementation, and identify future sales opportunities, to drive customer loyalty and retention Work closely with internal engineering, marketing, and support teams to ensure product offerings meet customer needs and expectations, and to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement Meet or exceed sales targets, maintaining accurate records of sales activities and client interactions in the company's CRM system, to drive business growth and measure success Educate clients about product features, benefits, and best practices, helping them optimize their data center operations and achieve their goals Travel regionally to meet customers, attend trade shows, and explore potential new markets or partnerships, to expand our reach and drive business growth Develop relationships with the targeted Strategic Customers within their assigned territory, with the goal of becoming the "first call" with these customers and driving sales growth and customer satisfaction Attend national and regional trade shows as necessary, to stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity, and to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement Review, design, and update as necessary customer programs (rebates, rates, quick pays, portals, etc), to ensure they are aligned with customer needs and expectations, and to drive customer loyalty and retention Keep appropriate business leaders (RMs, VPs, etc) apprised of activities, progress or issues with strategic customers, to ensure effective communication and collaboration Perform other duties as assigned by the manager, to support the overall strategy and goals of blithequark Support the overall strategy of the company and the Power & HVAC line of business, to drive business growth and success Increase revenue and return on investment on specific and assigned product lines and market segments, to drive business growth and profitability Assist team with in-depth product specification training for all team members, to ensure they have the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in their roles Actively engage and keep the team involved in tradeshows and associations, to stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity, and to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement Manage specific projects on an as needed basis to drive revenue and maximize return on investment, to support the overall strategy and goals of blithequark Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need: A college degree or equivalent work experience plus 6-8+ years in Outside Sales or Sales Management role, with a proven track record of driving sales growth and customer satisfaction Documented successful territory management showing consistent revenue growth, with a strong understanding of sales strategies and techniques Comfortable cold calling on new accounts, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills Basic Microsoft Office skills, with the ability to learn and use our CRM system and other sales tools Comfortable calling on jobsites and corporate office, with a strong understanding of the data center industry and its trends and challenges Ability to incorporate the Specialty Businesses into their presentations and product offerings, with a strong understanding of our products and services Product training to be provided by the various blithequark experts, by division, to ensure you have the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in your role Work remotely from home or from the local blithequark office, with no relocation required, to provide flexibility and work-life balance 60% to 75% travel, to meet customers, attend trade shows, and explore potential new markets or partnerships, with a strong understanding of the importance of building relationships and driving sales growth Salesforce experience preferred but not required, with the ability to learn and use our CRM system and other sales tools Physical Demands The physical demands of this role include: Bending, squatting, crouching, and/or reaching and lifting up to 25 pounds or more, as required by the job, with a strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures Driving for long periods of time, loading and unloading heavy equipment, performing work in extreme weather conditions including rain, wind or excessive temperatures and/or night and weekend work, with a
