Key Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with the District-approved curriculum, adapting to the unique needs of each pupil Provide individualized and small group instruction, translating lesson plans into developmentally appropriate learning experiences Establish and maintain high standards of pupil behavior, creating an effective learning atmosphere that promotes academic and social growth Evaluate pupils' progress, maintaining accurate records and preparing progress reports in a timely manner Identify pupil needs, making referrals and developing strategies for individual education plans as necessary Communicate regularly with parents and guardians, using a variety of methods including Schoology, newsletters, phone calls, emails, and conferences Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors, participating in building and department meetings, formal coursework, workshops, and seminars to stay current with best teaching practices Integrate technology into instruction, using a range of digital tools and resources to enhance teaching and learning Perform other duties of a similar nature or level, as required Essential Qualifications MN K-6 Elementary Education or Birth-Grade 3 Early Childhood Education licensure Proven experience in teaching Kindergarten or related grade levels Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective lesson plans, adapting to the needs of diverse learners Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the community Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Education or related field Experience with technology integration, including learning management systems and digital tools Knowledge of best practices in teaching and learning, including differentiated instruction and project-based learning Experience working with diverse populations, including English language learners and students with special needs Career Growth and Learning Benefits At Minnetonka Public Schools, we are committed to supporting the ongoing growth and development of our educators.
