About the Cradle-to-Career Data System California's Cradle-to-Career Data System is a pioneering initiative that brings together existing data from early learning, K-12, college, and career sectors to address barriers to opportunity and improve outcomes for Californians. As a Cloud Architect on this project, you will be at the forefront of designing and implementing a cloud-first approach to data management, leveraging modern data practices and software engineering principles to drive value and insights. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, maintain, and operate the Cradle-to-Career Data System's cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and performance. Collaborate with data teams to enable efficient and effective data management, analytics, and visualization. Communicate technical and architectural trade-offs clearly to various stakeholders, including technical and non-technical audiences. Evaluate and recommend cloud platforms and technologies that are fit for purpose, with a focus on simplicity, elegance, and minimal complexity. Support the team in testing and implementing cloud platforms, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation and guidance to facilitate successful adoption of modern data practices and cloud technologies.
