Job Overview We are currently seeking an experienced Customer Care Associate to join our team in a remote capacity. As a Customer Care Associate, you will be responsible for providing front-line phone customer service to policyholders, beneficiaries, agents, and internal customers. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with previous insurance industry experience and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities Provide front-line phone customer service to policyholders, beneficiaries, agents, and internal customers, ensuring customer satisfaction and striving to meet service standards. Handle calls from members inquiring about payments, policy information, or claims, utilizing knowledge of life insurance and annuity policies. Communicate effectively and professionally with both internal and external customers to resolve questions and issues. Develop and maintain a solid working knowledge of the insurance industry and of all products, services, and processes performed by the team. Collaborate with management or other team members as appropriate to proactively address service issues and concerns. Field between 75 to 100 calls per day, working in a designated quiet area while working from home. Essential Qualifications 1 year of experience in an office environment, with a strong understanding of Microsoft Windows PC applications. 1 year of experience using a computer, with excellent typing skills and attention to detail. 6 months of experience working in a remote or work-from-home environment, with a reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace. High school diploma or GED, with a strong foundation in customer service principles and practices. Previous insurance industry experience, with knowledge of life insurance and annuity policies, is highly preferred. Preferred Qualifications 6 months of experience in a role that required attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability for your work product. 6 months of experience in a role that required you to communicate (oral/written) effectively in a professional/office setting. Experience working in a call center environment, with a strong understanding of customer service metrics and standards. Knowledge of insurance industry products and services, including life insurance and annuity policies. Skills and Competencies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external customers. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex customer issues. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail. Strong technical skills, with experience using Microsoft Windows PC applications and other software systems. Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, in a remote or work-from-home environment.
