Job Description Summary We're seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our team, responding to general customer inquiries regarding insurance benefits, provider contracts, eligibility, and claims. As a key member of our Customer Service department, you'll be responsible for researching and analyzing data to address operational challenges and providing exceptional support to our customers. Key Responsibilities: Respond to customer inquiries via telephone, email, and written correspondence, providing accurate and timely information about insurance benefits, provider contracts, eligibility, and claims. Analyze problems and provide solutions, operating in our Health Care Processing System (HCPS), Imaging systems, and other necessary systems to obtain and extract information. Develop and maintain positive customer relations, coordinating with various functions within the company to ensure customer requests and questions are handled appropriately and in a timely manner. Research and resolve aged Customer Service open calls within company standards, identifying inefficiencies and suggesting possible solutions to save time, reduce risk, and/or reduce expenses. Thoroughly document information, activities, and changes in the database and inquiry outcomes for accurate tracking and analysis. Meet and maintain Quality and Telephone Performance measures per Customer Service Performance Report, communicating with the appropriate departments and identifying service issues. Essential Qualifications: To succeed in this role, you'll need: A High School diploma or GED and a minimum of two (2) years of experience in customer service within a call center environment. Knowledge of Health Benefits and eligibility, with good communication and telephone skills, and a very clear and concise speaking voice. Proficient written communication skills, with the ability to learn new software and navigate multiple systems at once. Moderate computing and keyboarding skills, including proficiency with database management. Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment, with proficient organizational and time management skills. Fluent in English (oral and written), with bilingual skills in Spanish preferred. Preferred Qualifications: While not essential, the following qualifications are desirable: Experience working in a similar role, with a strong understanding of insurance benefits and claims. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and guidelines, with experience working in a HIPAA-compliant environment. Proficiency in multiple software systems, with the ability to learn and adapt quickly. Skills and Competencies: To excel in this role, you'll need to demonstrate: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively. Proficient time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
