As a remote Customer Service Representative, you'll be part of a global team that is shaping the future of insurance and making a real impact on people's lives. **Key Responsibilities** As an Experienced Customer Service Representative (Remote) at blithequark, you'll be responsible for: * Answering incoming calls and assisting callers with inquiries related to payment or policy status, as well as correspondence received from blithequark * Providing accurate and timely information to customers and brokers, including but not limited to: + New business (quotation/payment status) + Renewals (payment/issuance status) + Endorsements (processing status/evidence of insurance requests) + Inspections + Deficiency letters + Cancellations/non-renewals + CEA (payment/policy/quotation status) * Researching and resolving customer or broker questions/problems in a professional and courteous manner * Handling agency licensing tasks, including registering new brokers, address changes, agency mergers, and other related activities * Following up with other departments to resolve problem files and ensure timely resolution * Inputting data in a desktop database for all incoming calls * Assisting customers at the front desk when necessary * Distributing faxes and other correspondence to the department * Facilitating the processing of evidence of insurance requests as required * Participating in individual and group training designed to improve service and stay up-to-date on industry developments * Performing additional duties or special projects as assigned by management **Essential Qualifications** * High school diploma and basic computer skills required * 1 year of insurance experience (coverage knowledge) and customer service/call center experience required * Excellent communication skills, with a strong emphasis on phone skills * Good interpersonal skills (both internal and external) and ability to work well in a team environment * Ability to perform slightly varied moderately complex tasks with minimal supervision * Sound decision-making skills and ability to exercise occasional decision-making and judgment **Preferred Qualifications** * Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred * Experience working in a remote or virtual environment * Familiarity with insurance industry terminology and concepts * Previous experience in a call center or customer service role **Skills and Competencies** * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively * Proficiency in using desktop databases and other software applications * Strong attention to detail and accuracy * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Excellent time management and organizational skills * Strong customer service skills and ability to provide exceptional service **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At blithequark, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop their careers.
