Job Overview In this exciting role, you will be responsible for analyzing, gathering, and interpreting complex customer data to inform business decisions. As a Data Analyst II, you will be the driving force behind the development of customer-driven dashboards that capture key performance metrics, supporting our product teams in their strategic decision-making processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data science, product, and engineering, to analyze, assess, and provide insights that drive our business procedures. Key Responsibilities Research, gather, and analyze complex customer data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions Develop and maintain customer-driven dashboards that capture key performance metrics, supporting product teams in their strategic decision-making processes Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data science, product, and engineering, to analyze, assess, and provide insights that drive business procedures Apply quantitative analysis, data mining, and data presentation skills to uncover meaningful insights and drive business growth Define and evaluate key performance metrics for new product launches, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for growth Conduct exploratory data analysis, including hypothesis testing, statistical inference, and statistical analysis, to identify trends and patterns in customer data Work effectively with data stewards and data engineering teams to gather and process accurate data from various sources Communicate complex data insights and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders, both verbally and in writing Qualifications and Skills To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong foundation in data analysis, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills. The following qualifications and skills are required: Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, such as mathematics, statistics, computer science, or economics Strong experience with languages used to manipulate and analyze large datasets, such as SQL, Python, Presto, and others Experience with data visualization tools, such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, and others Strong understanding of statistical concepts, including hypothesis testing, statistical inference, and statistical analysis Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Preferred Qualifications Experience with data quality tools, such as Google DataPlex, Collibra Data Quality, SAS Data Management, or IBM InfoSphere Data Server Experience with quality testing using Selenium, Cucumber, or Tosca Experience building multi-step ETL jobs/data pipelines and working with job scheduling systems Experience processing complex data on cloud platforms, such as Google Bigquery and Hive Experience with data modeling (E-R) and strong BI concepts Basic understanding of machine learning models and algorithms Prior experience in the retail or financial services industries Career Growth and Development At blithequark, we are committed to supporting the growth and development of our employees.
