Job Overview In this role, you will be a key member of the product development team, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive growth and improvement. Your primary focus will be on defining and interpreting A/B tests, establishing north-star metrics, and creating dashboards that provide actionable insights for the entire organization. You will be instrumental in building our first-party offerings and contributing to the development of our products. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with the product development team as a trusted partner to uncover new ways to improve the product and drive growth. Design and interpret A/B tests to answer critical questions about the impact of model and UX changes on our products. Establish a data-driven product development culture by leading the definition, tracking, and operationalization of feature, product, and company-level metrics. Develop and socialize dashboards, reports, and other tools to enable the team and company to answer product data questions in a self-serve manner. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you should have: 5+ years of experience in a quantitative role exploring highly ambiguous conditions, preferably as a founding data scientist or product analyst at a hyper-growth product company or research organization. Proposed, designed, and executed comprehensive tests with clear insights and product recommendations using SQL and Python. Defined, implemented, and operationalized new feature and product-level metrics from scratch. Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate with product managers, engineers, and executives alike. Key insights beyond the paradigm of statistical significance testing. Preferred Qualifications You could be a particularly strong fit if you have: Demonstrated relevant experience in NLP, large language models, or generative AI. Solid programming background, with the ability to run simulations and model variations. Experience validating quantitative insights with qualitative methods (e.g., surveys, UXR).
