Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Patient Advocate Representative to join our Patient Support Department at our Duluth location. Key Responsibilities Obtain and process authorizations for reorders, ensuring timely and accurate shipping of patient supplies. Resolve patient issues and concerns via phone, document processing, and medical record validation, providing exceptional customer service and support. Ensure patients have all required medical documentation to permit billing of services, maintaining up-to-date records and insurance information. Maximize patient retention through proactive outreach and cross-selling initiatives, promoting arenaflex services and products to meet patient needs. Handle inbound and outbound calls from patients, physicians, and referral sources, addressing concerns, troubleshooting issues, and providing education on insurance coverage and company procedures. Audit configuration of supplies based on supporting documentation, formulary requirements, and manufacturer capabilities, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Maintain a strong understanding of medical documentation, insurance requirements, and company procedures, staying up-to-date with industry developments and regulatory changes. Ensure confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive patient information, adhering to arenaflex's strict data protection policies. Maintain regular, predictable, and consistent attendance, demonstrating flexibility to meet the needs of the department and ensure seamless patient support. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent, with a strong foundation in customer service principles and practices. Preferred customer service experience, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional patient support and satisfaction. Proficient computer literacy, including strong keyboarding skills, accurate data entry, and the ability to maintain strong listening skills in a fast-paced call center environment. Strong attention to detail, multi-tasking, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple patient interactions simultaneously. Exceptional phone and email etiquette, with a professional and empathetic approach to patient communication. Availability to work evening and weekend shifts, as required, to ensure comprehensive patient support and coverage.
