About the Role As a Respiratory Therapy Instructor at Concorde Career Colleges, you will play a vital role in shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals. Your primary responsibility will be to provide engaging and effective instruction to students in various educational settings, including classrooms, labs, clinical environments, and online platforms. You will serve as a professional and academic role model, committed to ensuring student satisfaction and success. Key Responsibilities Instructional Duties: Teach classes as assigned, preparing for each session by organizing and familiarizing yourself with student materials. Develop and implement lesson plans and course materials as required, ensuring alignment with curriculum standards. Objectively assess student performance, providing regular and constructive feedback to promote academic growth. Effectively utilize instructional plans and approved student materials, supplementing as necessary to meet student needs. Maintain the security of assessment tools and confidential documentation, adhering to established protocols. Student Interaction: Create a classroom environment conducive to learning, setting a positive tone and promoting professionalism. Provide regular feedback to students regarding their academic performance, grades, and conduct, using approved channels. Proactively identify and address student attendance, academic, or behavioral concerns, referring to the Program Director or Academic Dean as necessary. Maintain accurate student records, grades, and attendance, ensuring compliance with published policies. Related Duties: Participate in ongoing faculty and professional development activities, including Continuing Education Units (CEUs) as required. Attend workshops, seminars, and meetings as scheduled, staying current with industry standards and best practices. Contribute to a positive campus culture, maintaining a professional, enthusiastic, and positive attitude. Assist with various administrative tasks, such as record-keeping, inventory management, and equipment maintenance. Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must possess: A minimum of four years of experience in respiratory therapy. An Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field. A current state license or certificate in Respiratory Therapy. Prior teaching experience is preferred, although not required. The ability to meet all regulatory and corporate qualifications for the role.
