The Role: Senior Application Engineer, Billing and Payments As a Senior Application Engineer specializing in Billing and Payments, you'll be a key member of our Software Engineering team. Your primary responsibility will be to develop, integrate, and manage our billing and payment solutions using Java/Kotlin and related technologies. You'll work closely with third-party platforms like Zuora and Adyen to configure, build, design, secure, and manage APIs and functionalities that support various client applications, including Android, iOS, Web, and internal tools. Key Responsibilities: Develop and integrate scalable billing and payment solutions that adhere to industry best practices, utilizing Java/Kotlin and related technologies. Leverage products like Zuora and Adyen to configure, build, design, secure, and manage APIs and functionalities exposed to other applications. Lead payment engineering efforts with a team of engineers, providing technical guidance, reviews, and support to foster a collaborative and productive work environment. Oversee payment operations on the engineering team, including software builds and patches, and utilize self-service tooling for API Management across the development teams. Collaborate with internal and cross-functional teams (e.g., TPMs, business ops, backend engineers) to deliver high-quality projects on time. Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience. 5 years of experience in building, configuring, and maintaining payment processing systems using products like Adyen and Zuora. 3 years of experience in software design and development using Java and/or Kotlin for billing/payment processing in an enterprise ecosystem. 2 years of experience leading and mentoring engineering teams. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or another technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 2 years of experience using Linux/Unix operating systems. Software engineering experience with Java/Kotlin and related technologies, including Spring. Understanding of API security best practices and standards. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. What We Offer At GFiber, we're committed to providing a competitive compensation package that reflects your skills and experience. The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $166,000 - $183,000, supplemented by a bonus, cash award, and comprehensive benefits.
