Job Overview and Responsibilities In this role, you will be responsible for providing data-driven solutions to complex problems, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and inform key decisions. Your expertise in data analysis, technical skills, and ability to communicate complex insights effectively will be essential in driving success in this position. Some of your key responsibilities will include: Conducting thorough investigations, producing data-driven insights, and developing high-impact solutions to drive business growth and inform key decisions Communicating findings with a clear and persuasive perspective, ensuring that insights can be utilized to drive product strategy and business growth Creating, distributing, and maintaining flexible self-service tools and dashboards that align with departmental objectives, enabling cross-functional partners to access data and identify key insights Collaborating with product, engineering, and design teams to identify areas of opportunity, define and implement tracking designs for the toolset, and influence prioritization decisions with data Mentoring departmental colleagues on analysis best practices, technical skills, and developments in our organization's data architecture Essential Qualifications and Skills To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong educational foundation in a quantitative and technically rigorous field, such as mathematics, statistics, computer science, or economics. A bachelor's degree in one of these fields is required, and a minimum of 2+ years of work experience in a relevant field, ideally in business analysis, strategy, startup/tech, or marketing, is also necessary. Additionally, you will need to demonstrate: Solid organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor your communication style to your audience A strong technical inclination, with demonstrated experience using data from multiple sources to solve complex problems, tell a story, and impact overall strategy Proficiency in SQL/Eden, Google Cloud Platform, and Excel/Google Sheets Experience with visualization tools, such as Google Data Studio, Looker, or similar Knowledge of Python/Git is preferred, but not required Preferred Qualifications and Skills While not required, the following qualifications and skills are preferred: Advanced degree in a quantitative and technically rigorous field, such as a master's or Ph.D. Additional years of work experience in a relevant field, ideally in business analysis, strategy, startup/tech, or marketing Experience working with large datasets and complex data systems Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and statistical modeling techniques Experience with cloud-based data platforms and tools, such as AWS or Azure Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Wayfair, we're committed to the growth and development of our employees.
