Key Responsibilities Provide exceptional phone support to patients receiving specialty medication treatment, addressing their concerns and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. Coordinate and handle new and reorder requests for specialty medications, including verifying and updating patient benefits. Assist patients in deciphering and entering new or reordered medications into our pharmacy data system, processing and collecting copay amounts, obtaining approvals, and working with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and approve orders with sales or clinical issues. Collaborate with insurance companies, patients, and internal partners to ensure timely handling of specialty medications and meet financial and clinical expectations prior to fulfillment. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: One year of experience in a customer service role, handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs via telephone. One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, web navigation, and email applications. One year of PC keyboarding experience, skills, and fitness. Preferred Qualifications If you have: A half-year of experience resolving a high volume of complex customer needs via telephone. Medical services work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, medications, and clinical terminology. Training and Education We require a high school diploma or equivalent for this role. Skills and Competencies To excel in this position, you'll need: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, insurance companies, and internal partners. Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to navigate complex issues and find creative solutions. Proficiency in Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Office and email software. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously. Empathy and compassion, with a patient-centered approach to customer service.
