We're currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Non-QM Scenario Desk Underwriter to join our Team Production Operations (TPO) division. As a remote mortgage underwriting expert, you'll play a critical role in providing customer support, analyzing complex loan scenarios, and ensuring compliance with our Non-QM program guidelines. About the Role Job Summary As a Non-QM Scenario Desk Underwriter, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer support to our TPO, NDC, and Retail Loan Officers, Account Executives, and Brokers. Your primary duties will include analyzing loan scenarios, completing Bank Statement Analyses, and communicating results to stakeholders. You'll be an integral part of our Production Support team, working closely with Mortgage Sales Teams and Operations staff to ensure seamless loan processing. Key Responsibilities Provide timely and accurate support for Non-QM program guidelines, requirements, and loan scenarios via email, online, and phone Complete Bank Statement Analysis requests within corresponding turn times, ensuring high-quality results and clear communication with stakeholders Coordinate with Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) partners to deliver and complete Bank Statement Analyses Perform Quality Control testing on Bank Statement Analysis work completed by BPO partners Utilize solid underwriting knowledge to document and clear loan conditions, analyze complex tax returns, and calculate qualifying monthly income Assist sales partners with structuring difficult loan scenarios and provide guidance on Non-QM program requirements Maintain proficiency in TPO and NDC Portal usage to support production partners with request submissions, document uploads, and access Organize and maintain facilities for completed Bank Statement Analyses and Scenario Grades Collaborate with Mortgage Sales Teams and Operations staff on a daily basis to ensure smooth loan processing Review Condominium Projects to determine eligibility with program requirements Perform other related duties as assigned Requirements and Qualifications Essential Skills and Competencies Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely Strong customer service skills, with a focus on providing exceptional support to stakeholders Diplomacy and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships with sales partners and stakeholders Math aptitude and organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks Professionalism and presentation skills, with the ability to represent the company in a professional manner Time management and computer literacy skills, with proficiency in software applications and technology Education and Experience Mortgage Wholesale/Non-QM Underwriting experience is highly recommended High School Diploma or Equivalent required Minimum 5 years of Underwriting Experience (UW or secondary) Encompass Software Experience required What We Offer Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $100,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package, including: Medical, Dental, and Vision Plans GAP Insurance and Life Insurance paid by the company Voluntary Life Insurance and 401K Pet Insurance and Legal Shield/ID Shield Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At NQM Funding, LLC, we're committed to the growth and development of our employees.
