As a key member of our early childhood education team, you will provide critical support to students with a range of disabilities, working closely with our experienced educators to implement individualized education plans and promote academic, social, and emotional growth. Key Responsibilities As a Preschool Paraprofessional at White Pine, your primary responsibilities will include: Assisting students with diverse needs, including those with physical, emotional, communication, and developmental delays Supporting the implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and helping students achieve their academic and social goals Providing personal care and assistance with daily living activities, such as hygiene, toileting, and feeding Helping students develop socialization skills and build relationships with peers Assisting with physical and occupational therapy activities, as needed Maintaining a safe and organized classroom environment, including cleaning and preparing materials Collaborating with teachers and other support staff to ensure seamless support for students Requirements and Qualifications To be considered for this rewarding role, you will need: Essential Qualifications: Associate's degree or a minimum of 32 college credits Alternatively, passing the ParaPro test (for more information, please contact Nicole Gee at 208-878-6600) Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds Physical stamina to engage in activities with young children Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience working with children with disabilities Knowledge of early childhood education and child development principles Experience with adaptive equipment and assistive technology Strong communication and interpersonal skills Skills and Competencies To succeed as a Preschool Paraprofessional at White Pine, you will need: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and families Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic classroom environment Empathy, patience, and understanding when working with young children Basic knowledge of child development principles and practices Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Cassia County School District, we're committed to supporting the ongoing growth and development of our staff.
