Job Summary We are looking for a seasoned Principal Engineer with expertise in BWR Plant Materials to lead and drive the development of engineering solutions for near-term and long-range BWR Plant Material Technology, Processing, and Testing needs. As a technical leader, you will provide consultation and guidance on various BWR plant material requirements and processing, oversee large projects with critical business impact, and develop next-generation plant material technology programs. Key Responsibilities Identify, develop, evaluate, and introduce engineering solutions to meet BWR Plant Material Technology, Processing, and Testing engineering needs. Provide technical consultation on BWR plant material requirements and processing in areas such as RPV, reactor internals, piping, and control blade/rod design programs. Lead and provide technical direction to large projects with critical business impact, ensuring successful project execution and delivery. Oversee BWR plant material requirements and processing in areas such as RPV, reactor internals, piping, and control blade/rod design efforts. Develop and define next-generation plant material technology programs, including advanced manufacturing and processing, to drive innovation and excellence. Support other GE businesses, internal and external customers, and suppliers as required, providing technical expertise and guidance. Provide technical consultation to cross-functional teams to improve or resolve manufacturing, product center, supplier, or field issues. Effectively communicate and provide recommendations through analysis, preparation, and presentation of technical data to internal and external GE customers. Use knowledge and expertise to market winning proposals in anticipation of business product needs. Prepare invention disclosures to protect technology and intellectual property rights. Provide technical guidance, direction, and training to new and experienced materials engineers, specialists, technicians, and co-ops. Essential Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Material Science, or Chemistry. At least 8 years of experience in an engineering capacity, with a strong background in BWR Plant Materials. Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to various stakeholders. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams. Demonstrated ability to document, plan, market, and manage programs that further the knowledge, understanding, and capability of the business. Problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions. Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated leadership in defining the state of the art in BWR Plant Material Technology, Processing, and Testing. Ability to teach and set standard practices within the field of BWR Plant Materials. Experience with advanced manufacturing and processing technologies.
