The Role: Senior React TypeScript Front-End Engineer As a Senior React TypeScript Front-End Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in developing our digital banking platform, enabling teams to create products at scale, and delivering compelling customer experiences. You'll be responsible for architecting, coding, and shipping software that makes us an essential part of our customers' digital lives. Key Responsibilities Develop new user-facing features using React.js, ensuring high-quality code that meets our standards for performance, accessibility, and user experience. Advocate for the user experience, championing best practices in performance, accessibility, and UX. Design and build reusable cross-platform components and front-end libraries that can be used across our digital banking platform. Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code, working closely with designers and product managers to ensure seamless execution. Optimize components for maximum performance across a wide range of web-capable devices and browsers. Take ownership of the architecture and design of our front-end solutions, ensuring they meet our technical and business requirements. Mentor junior engineers, sharing your expertise and experience to help them grow professionally. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, and CSS, with a deep understanding of React.js and its core principles. Experience with CSS3, including the latest features and best practices. Knowledge of accessibility and web standards, including ADA compliance and WCAG guidelines. Experience with responsive and adaptive web design, ensuring a seamless user experience across different devices and screen sizes. Familiarity with design language systems and similar concepts. Understanding of modern front-end build pipelines and tools, such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, and yarn. Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements. Experience with benchmarking and optimization, ensuring high-performance front-end solutions. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge: Experience with other front-end frameworks and libraries, such as Angular or Vue.js. Knowledge of back-end technologies, such as Node.js, and experience with full-stack development. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and version control systems like Git.
