Job Summary As a Teller Operations Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring a positive banking experience for our customers. You will be responsible for processing transactions, maintaining accurate records, and providing exceptional customer service. This is a part-time position that requires flexibility and a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, respond to customer inquiries, and resolve problems in a timely and professional manner. Transaction Processing: Process transactions, including cashing checks, receiving and processing deposits and withdrawals, making transfers, and balancing the teller drawer. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of transactions, prepare daily general ledger entries, and perform vault functions as necessary. Cash Handling: Operate and maintain a cash drawer, handle large quantities of currency, and perform daily balancing of the coin machine. Product Promotion: Promote the bank's products and services, cross-sell bank products, and consistently meet sales goals. Problem-Solving: Analyze problems, make sound decisions, and take initiative to resolve customer complaints. Communication: Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and management to ensure seamless service delivery. Requirements and Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need: Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D. Experience: At least six (6) months of prior experience in the retail industry and six (6) months of cash handling experience. Skills: Strong customer relations and interpersonal skills, typing, PC, 10-key calculator, and ability to handle large quantities of currency. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for most of the workday, lift, carry, or move heavy boxes or bags of currency and coin weighing up to 25 pounds. Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours as scheduled, Monday through Saturday.
