A Day in the Life of a Customer Service Representative at blithequark As a Customer Care Representative at blithequark, your day will be filled with a variety of exciting challenges and opportunities. Some of your key responsibilities will include: Serving as a resource or Subject Matter Expert (SME) for other team members or internal customers, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless operations Handling escalated calls, resolving complex customer issues in a timely and professional manner, and ensuring that all customers receive a positive experience Answering incoming phone calls from policyholders, agents, and third-parties, processing and identifying the type of assistance the customer needs, and providing personalized support Asking appropriate questions, listening actively, and documenting required information in computer systems to ensure that all customer interactions are recorded accurately Owning problems through to resolution on behalf of the customer, either in real-time or through comprehensive and timely follow-up, to ensure that all issues are resolved efficiently Researching complex issues across multiple databases, working with support resources to resolve customer issues, and partnering with others to resolve escalated issues in a collaborative and proactive manner Meeting performance goals established for the position, including first call resolution, call quality, efficiency, provider satisfaction, and attendance, to ensure that all customers receive an exceptional experience What You'll Need to be a Top Candidate To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a unique combination of skills, experience, and personal qualities. Some of the key requirements include: Strong team-oriented interpersonal skills, with the ability to contribute and collaborate as a team member while working proactively and independently Excellent presentation, persuasion, written, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, time management, and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously Enthusiasm for growth, learning, and developing new opportunities with blithequark, as we launch new products and services and continue to expand our operations Property and Casualty experience is preferred, although not essential, as we provide comprehensive training and support to all our employees Knowledge and Experience In terms of knowledge and experience, we are looking for candidates who have: Familiarity with computer and Windows PC applications, including the ability to learn new and complex computer system applications At least one year of Contact Center customer service experience, with familiarity with multiple channels of customer contact, such as phone, email, and chat Completed the Customer Service training classes and demonstrated proficiency in the material, as we provide ongoing training and support to all our employees Ability to work any 8-hour shift between the hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST, Monday to Friday, including the flexibility to work occasional overtime based on business need Education and Certifications In terms of education and certifications, we require: High School Diploma or GED, as a minimum educational requirement 1 year of experience in Contact Center Operations, with a focus on customer service and support 440 or 220 License is preferred, although not essential, as we provide training and support to all our employees Bi-Lingual skills are a plus, as we value diversity and inclusivity in our workforce Remote Work Requirements As this is a remote role, you will need to have: A dedicated work area established, separated from other living areas, and providing information privacy Ability to keep all company-sensitive documents secure, as we take data protection and confidentiality seriously This job is remote within Florida, with occasional travel to our Tampa, FL headquarters, as we believe in face-to-face interaction and collaboration Travel and ADA Requirements In terms of travel, you can expect to travel minimally, as required, to attend meetings, training sessions, and other business events.
