About the Role We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Customer Service Representative to join our remote call center team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional support to patients, providers, and medical staff, ensuring that they receive the care and resources they need to thrive. This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position that offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering outstanding customer experiences and driving positive health outcomes. Primary Responsibilities Answer a minimum of 11 calls per hour, resolving moderate to complex issues in a professional and empathetic manner Schedule and verify appointments in our clinical information system, ensuring seamless communication and coordination with patients and providers Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records Send and receive tasks to Provider offices, facilitating access to medical care and supporting patients throughout their journey Receive and process expedite, stat, and at-risk referrals, prioritizing urgent cases and ensuring timely resolution Contact patients to advise of appointment and referral status, providing clear and concise communication and support Perform extreme high-volume data entry, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Process and resolve expedited patient complaints, addressing concerns and providing solutions in a fair and transparent manner Review and process medication refills, ensuring that patients receive the medications they need to manage their health Respond proactively to inquiries from patients, Providers, and internal medical personnel, providing timely and effective support and resolution Qualifications and Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a combination of skills, experience, and personal qualities that enable you to deliver exceptional customer experiences and drive positive health outcomes. The essential qualifications for this position include: High School Diploma or GED 6+ months of Call Center experience, with a focus on customer service and support 6+ months of Customer Service experience, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word Must be 18 years of age or older Flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 7am-8pm Monday - Friday, Saturday - Sunday 7am-5pm Preferred Qualifications In addition to the essential qualifications, we are looking for candidates who possess: Medical Terminology, with a strong understanding of healthcare concepts and principles Advanced knowledge of insurance products, with the ability to navigate complex insurance systems and processes Training in a medical office-related field, with a strong foundation in clinical practices and procedures CPT and ICD-10 coding, with the ability to accurately code and process medical information Soft Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a range of soft skills and competencies that enable you to deliver exceptional customer experiences and drive positive health outcomes.
