About the Role As a Ramp Agent at blithequark, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our ground handling services. You will be responsible for handling cargo, operating ground equipment, and providing excellent customer service to our clients. This is a part-time position, offering a flexible schedule and a competitive hourly rate of $24/hour. Key Responsibilities Move cargo and freight of various weights to and from aircraft Drive and operate belt loaders, ground power units, and other equipment Service aircraft at gates with ground power and cooling Tow and pushback aircraft from gates Service aircraft toilets and water ports Clean the interior of aircraft when required Position refreshment and baggage trucks around the ramp area Work outside in various weather conditions Work shifts that include irregular and/or extended hours, weekends, and holidays Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Able to lift, load, unload, and transport bags and cargo to/from aircraft, bag trucks, and conveyor lines Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications People-oriented and highly enthusiastic, with a positive and helpful attitude Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Valid driver's license, as required by local authorities Able to obtain airport security clearance and/or US Customs security badges, if applicable Pass a pre-employment drug screen, comprehensive background check, and/or fingerprinting to meet company and security requirements Able to obtain fly bridge certification Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in the aviation industry or a related field Knowledge of ground handling procedures and safety protocols Experience operating heavy equipment, such as belt loaders and ground power units Ability to speak multiple languages, including English Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Career Growth and Development Opportunities At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
