Key Responsibilities and Expectations As a Teletherapy Special Education Teacher with VocoVision, you'll be responsible for: Conducting individualized teletherapy sessions tailored to each student's unique needs, goals, and objectives. Developing, implementing, and assessing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that align with state and federal regulations. Collaborating with parents, educators, and support staff to promote student success and ensure a cohesive approach to education. Utilizing innovative virtual tools and technologies to create engaging and effective lessons that cater to diverse learning styles. Monitoring and documenting student progress, making adjustments to instruction and IEPs as needed. Communicating effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure that all stakeholders are informed and involved in the educational process. Qualifications and Requirements To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you'll need: A valid Special Education certification in the state of New Jersey. At least 2 years of experience in special education or a related field, with a proven track record of success in supporting students with diverse needs. A strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues. Proficiency with technology and virtual teaching platforms, including video conferencing software and digital tools. A passion for education and a commitment to supporting students with special needs. Preferred Qualifications and Skills While not required, the following qualifications and skills are highly desirable: Experience with teletherapy and online education platforms. Familiarity with assessment tools and methods used in special education. Knowledge of differentiated instruction and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles. Experience working with students with diverse needs, including autism, ADHD, and other conditions. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
